⭐ **Very Disappointed — Poor Customer Service & Unprofessional Handling of Concerns** Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Long Island Luau based on our experience. We hired them for a very special event for our family, and one of the main reasons we chose them was because we had specifically discussed having a pig for the event. We had conversations about the pig, including the approximate poundage and how it would be presented. When the day of our event came, there was no pig as we had discussed and expected. When I later brought this up to the owner, instead of trying to understand why we were disappointed, he was extremely dismissive and defensive. He told me that we should have said something during the event. As the host of a large, special event for my children, my responsibility that day was taking care of my children and our guests not supervising a catering company we hired and making sure they provided everything we had already discussed beforehand. I also gave the owner feedback about an uncomfortable interaction when it came time to pay the remaining balance. We had a Hawaiian themed luau for close to 50 people. Joe and his helper showed up on time and they were both very pleasant and professional. The food was great and he was very flexible as to when the appetizers, main meal and dessert were to be served. It was great for us because we did not have to deal all the food preparation and storage in our refrigerator. I would recommend him very highly. Our guests got a kick out of seeing him prepare their food on the spot. Overall it was a great experience dealing with Joe and Chris.

Had Long Island luau cater my daughters 1st / my 31st birthday last week, and to say we were more than satisfied is an understatement. Great food, awesome staff and a wonderful experience to deal with. Got the whole hog luau package and it was a hit! The staff was awesome in dealing with myself and guests wanting to see the pig and get a taste before dinner. Really amazing experience, would do it again in a heart beat.

There are so many great things to say about Long Island Luau and its owner, Joe! The food was fantastic and Joe is the most passionate and wonderful chef I have ever met. He will make sure your event is perfect and the food is incredible! He made our wedding absolutely perfect and it was a pleasure to work with him!

Long Island Luau catered my son's first birthday last weekend. If you don't book them, you are a fool! Joe Dee (owner) was personable and extremely attentive to detail. When the day of the party arrived, he felt like family. Brian came to assist and was just as amazing. The food was EXCELLENT and EVERY guest commented either that day or called me after to let me know how delicious everything was. I will definitely be using Long Island Luau again and highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for great service and exceptional food!!!
